Be my everything

Dream catchers are a very interesting tradition of the Native Americans. Its purpose was to protect sleeping people from negative dreams through the web like aspect and letting positive dreams slip through the hole to the sleeping person below. The negative dreams would actually get cause up in the web and vanish when the first rays of sun struck them.
Coming from someone who has quite an active dream life this is actually quite a comforting thing. As human beings we have a longing to be protected in both our waking and sleeping, we hate leaving ourselves open to being vulnerable. Our God protects us because he cares. Just like the native men who slaved over intricately creating these dream catchers for their children to give them peace..... God grants his children peace.
The forces of evil still exist...but they have no power. Jesus defeated death! He has won the battle. His perfect love casts out fear. If we are afraid, it is from a fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. Our sins are no longer held against us, evil has no place for the family of God. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand -Isaiah.

No weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

God is not just our dream catcher though.... he is so much more than that.
He is our dream maker.

Spirit Break Out

So tonight marked the night where my summer church team met for the first time. God is going to move through the town SO MUCH.
Tonight we engaged in corporate worship which I think is SO essential for Christian's
We are so blessed to be able to experience one and other in community, mirroring God! It it better to live in community, to share and be honest.
There is just something so special about a group of young adults praying for their generation to rise against this sick and cruel world. BOLDLY declaring the Lord as their saviour, their real treasure in their heart. Humbly coming to the majestic creator and just asking to be used as a vessel in his grand plan of uniting all things under him. We recognise that we are nothing without him, he is the only good within us and we owe everything to him.
The most amazing thing about being a disciple, a missionary of Christ is sharing the love we experience daily with others. The fact that this love is abounding and steadfast, for all people. I imagine Jesus just weeping in heaven for us, desperately crying to us to share this love, not to be selfish but give every single breath we have in our hearts to share this love. He is inviting everyone to come and drink from him, to be completely swept in by the waters of his grace and sink in his mercy.
We sang the words tonight "spirit break out, break our walls down" HOW WONDERFUL are those lyrics. This is a generation rising, seeking to know more, thinking of Jesus in our waking and sleeping...desperately pleading that the spirit of the Lord will break out of our hearts and control everything, breaking all our barriers and walls we have spend our whole lives putting him. Funny thing is Jesus' love is the only thing which has the power to do something like that.
Jesus is the only one that could make a sinner like me clean again. Learn how to love again, learn how to be loved.
Young people are just seeming to "get it" more and more these days. They are searching for more and more of Jesus Christ.. "can you hear it...the sound of heaven touching earth."
I pray more of this! I pray that the kingdom will come, will touch earth.. more than that... will cover this earth, that hope will be stirred up once again in this land.
